Accessibility Statement
Version 2026.1
Effective April 20, 2026
The Casper Youth Hub is committed to making its physical space, its software (parent portal, staff admin, kiosk, mobile app), and its written materials usable by everyone, including youth and family members with disabilities.
Standards we follow
- Digital: we target WCAG 2.1 Level AA for web and mobile apps, and we follow Apple and Google platform guidelines for native apps.
- Physical: the Hub's drop-in space is ADA-accessible, including wheelchair entry, accessible restrooms, and clear sightlines from the front desk.
- Program: staff work with families to accommodate individual needs, including communication, sensory, and mobility support.
In the software
- Keyboard navigation on every page
- Descriptive alt text on meaningful images and icons
- Color contrast of at least 4.5:1 for body text and 3:1 for large text
- Forms with visible labels, helpful error messages, and input sizes that work with accessibility settings
- Support for system-level accessibility: VoiceOver, TalkBack, increased text size, reduced motion, and dark mode
- Typed signatures instead of drawn signatures for onboarding, so families using assistive input devices can sign without a touchscreen
Known issues
No website or app is perfect. If you find a page or screen that is hard to use, we want to hear about it. We fix accessibility issues on a priority track.
How to report a barrier
Email support@casperyouthhub.org with:
- Where you encountered the issue (page URL, app screen, or physical location)
- What you were trying to do
- What happened and what you expected
- The assistive technology you use, if any (VoiceOver, screen reader, switch control, etc.)
We will respond within five business days and, where possible, give you a workaround while we fix the issue.
Alternative formats
On request we will provide any Hub policy document in large print, audio, or a plain-language summary. Contact privacy@casperyouthhub.org.
