Youth may use Hub technology (computers, tablets, printers, and Wi-Fi) for schoolwork, creative projects, job and college searches, and age-appropriate recreation.
The Hub uses content filtering on its network and devices, but no filter is perfect. You acknowledge that filtering is a safeguard, not a guarantee, and that you remain the primary guide for your youth's online life at home.
Hub network traffic and device activity may be logged for safety and compliance purposes. Logs are kept confidential and are only reviewed when there is a safety concern, a suspected policy violation, or a legal request.
Youth are welcome to bring their own devices. The same conduct rules apply. The Hub is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged personal devices.
Youth must log out of personal accounts (email, social, school) on Hub devices before they leave. Passwords should never be shared. Report suspected misuse of an account to a staff member right away.
Many school assignments require original work. Youth using AI tools at the Hub should follow their school's guidance on acceptable AI use. Staff can help youth use AI responsibly for brainstorming, editing, and learning, not for plagiarism.
Violations of this policy follow the Code of Conduct discipline schedule, which ranges from a restorative conversation to timed exclusion from Hub devices and, for serious or repeated violations, Hub suspension.
